Time to throw in the towel!
Great for a quick gag or to make a more serious point.
We've only one of these - and once it's gone, it's gone for good.
Hand your volunteer a clean towel. When you take it back it's covered in hand prints! Once the laughter dies down you explain about how we all make mistakes and the need to forgive one another. Alternatively wipe your own hands on the towel and the joke is clearly on you!
This is a cleverly gimmicked yellow microfiber towel that always get a chuckle.
Great to add into any routine. Ask the volunteer to wipe off their hands on the towel before handling a prop - or after a 'messy' trick. However you play this don't make fun of the kid or make them feel bad. It must clearly be a joke! Deflect the laughter to you by saying 'well you should see it when I dry my feet/bottom with it!'
Use the colour of the towel for some extra laughs. First make the kids to promise not to laugh. Then bring the towel out and proudly explain how this pink/yellow fluffy soft fresh smelling towel is your favourite towel in all the world. If you are big lad then the incongruity of this - big fella with small pink towel - will get a great response.
- The Fall. The world was brand new - yet Adam and Eve made a mess of it - and the world is still mess up and stained by dark thoughts, dark words and dark deeds. 'Adam's one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ's one act of righteousness brings new life for everyone.' Romans 5:18
- We All Make Mistakes Even if your favourite towel is ruined we need to show forgiveness! 'Forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.' Col 3:13
This is great fun - add it to any trick as an extra bit of fun.
